Reeside, James : Letter, 1 Dec. 1840.

In his 1 Dec. 1840 letter from Frankfort (Ky.) to his wife, Mary, in Philadelphia. Reeside reported he was suffering from dysentery; he had been with Col. James Johnson for five days; that Edward P. Johnson's testimony would be important to a pending court case; that he was bargaining for a share of the Kentucky Stage Company; and noted that he would be in Louisville (Ky.) after he met with Gen. Harrison.
